trusted commitment to educational partners

This innovative partnership fostered
between PenTeleData and the 156-year-old,
3,550-student coeducational liberal arts
undergraduate institution has forged new
networking and Internet connectivity
standards for schools across the country.
In March, Bucknell University hosted a
well-attended one-day technical seminar on
its Lewisburg, PA campus. This informative
conference featured an introduction to the
Remote Access Service provided to the
university by PenTeleData.
John Jantzi, Systems Integrator of Information
Services and Resources for the Computer
Center at Bucknell University, led the
discussion on the topic of PenTeleData's
Remote Access Service.
As the provider of high-speed dedicated
Internet and networking services to Bucknell,
the university extended to PenTeleData the
opportunity to invite current and potential
PenTeleData customers to the seminar.
Representatives from schools, hospitals and
businesses throughout the tri-state area
participated in the event, which enjoyed a
large turnout.
Bucknell University voiced its satisfaction with
the quality of dependable service delivered by
Pennsylvania's most trustworthy Internet
Service Provider, PenTeleData.
How pleased is Bucknell University with
PenTeleData's Internet connection?
"Bucknell University is very happy with the
service we have received from PenTeleData,"
said Jantzi. He also expressed admiration for
PenTeleData's performance and
dependability.
Jantzi explained that PenTeleData has helped
Bucknell directly in two major areas.
"When a national provider was unsuccessful
to provide reliable T3 service to the university,
PenTeleData stepped up to the plate and
helped us out," Jantzi said. "PenTeleData went
the second mile to help us out of a sticky
situation."
"The most gratifying experience working with
PenTeleData was to develop a VPN solution for
Bucknell," he said. "Bucknell had a need to
replace or outsource our existing dial-in
solution. We at Bucknell decided we wanted
to partner with a local ISP to provide a virtual
private network, out-sourcing all the modems,
improving the local 'number' dial-in radius
and at a reasonable cost to the University."
Jantzi cited yet another reason Bucknell University
enjoys working with PenTeleData: its staff.
"The most positive experience has been working with
the Engineering Staff," he said. "Professional and
refreshingly bright."
Making good on its commitment to provide the best
quality Internet services and networking solutions
throughout Pennsylvania and beyond, PenTeleData's
partnerships with healthcare, education,
government and business entities
create the most complete Internet solutions.
